Leavesley Group has been around for nearly a full century, having been established in 1919 and expanding into new markets as circumstances changed with the times. The Group has deep roots in the English heartland and is located in the Midlands, but its operations are global and international collaboration is one of its strengths. The group has three main divisions – trading, agriculture and property, while it comprises a range of companies, trusts, joint ventures and associated business entities. Some of the activities that Leavesley Group is best known for include container services, petrol retailing, arable production, and well as pig, beef and sheep breeding. The company is active in the field of environmental protection and leads socially responsible initiatives aimed at animal welfare.
Our company was formed in the 1970’s and was originally involved in the freight shipping business, operating out of its original location between Derby and Birmingham. Today, one of our core areas of expertise is selling and hiring modular buildings. We specialise in developing buildings for a range of industries, from education and healthcare to office buildings and retail outlets.
Property division
This division consists of three companies, and is focused mostly on small- scale commercial and industrial projects, as well as plots of agricultural or wooded land. Most of the portfolio is concentrated in Midlands, but its activities are not limited to one region and extend across the globe. The Group employs its own surveyor, solicitor, planner and safety executive in order to control the entire process in house and facilitate seamless property transactions for its clients.
Trading division
With two companies under its wing, this division is dedicated to international trading in various goods and equipment. It enjoys spotless reputation, and has acted as official supplier for domestic and global institutions including UK Foreign Office, UK Border Agency, United Nations and multiple oil companies. Business operations are supported by plentiful and secure warehouse space, allowing for faster deliveries and lower shipping costs.
Agriculture division
As the oldest and largest division within Leavesley Group, agriculture sector is highly diversified and consists of 7 main and more than 30 secondary locations. Some of the most important activities of this sector include livestock breeding, farming and arable production. We dedicate a lot of effort and resources to research, developing equipment and procedures that are more humane to animals and less disruptive to the environment.
